Free Hutch To Bar

I love to upcycle items that people see no use for. There are many of these available and often you can snag these things for free!

This time, I found a hutch that someone was giving away and immediately knew I had to have it. There's so many things you can do with it from storage to entryway display or even use it as a bar.

Check out what I did to mine without using any tools! It was super easy!

I found the hutch on marketplace for free as you can see! I was excited!

My plan was to turn it upside down so it wouldn't be top heavy. This is much safer and safety always comes first!

Now I just needed to add a top so I measured the space and it's just under 6ft and 12" wide.

I found this at Lowe’s so I didn't need to do anything but go and pick it up!

I could have left it a natural wood but I decided I’d like it darker so I grabbed this stain (Early American).

I used my rag to stain the board.

I set it on top of the hutch and here it is! To keep it from sliding off you can glue it down.

Now I have a bar and it only cost me the cost of the board and a can of stain. So for $20 I made this large buffet/ bar!
