I was so happy when I found this porch swing on a garage sale site years ago. I had Matt hang it up right away and was so happy to have another space to enjoy the outdoors. This swing has been on our porch for almost 7 years now it was definitely looking a little worn down. I decided it was time for a Porch Swing Makeover and love how it turned out. I’m a huge spray paint fan and love how a couple cans can completely change and update something.

I added a rug and some pillows and love my new set up on the porch.

This is what our swing was looking like. Pretty "blah", right?

I hosed the swing down and let it dry completely before working on it. You want to make sure there is no dust, dirt and/or debris on your swing before painting. I wrapped some paper around the chains and taped them in place before painting.

I decided that spray paint would be the best choice for this makeover. I used Rust-Oleum High Performance Enamel spray paint in white.

This is what the swing looked like after one coat of spray paint.

This is the swing after two coats of spray paint. This second coat made a huge difference!

I removed the tape from the chains and allowed my swing to dry completely.
