Accomplishing this look is way easier than you think, I mean it! Here's how I made over my upholstered chair- made simple! I've had these old Pier One chairs for some time and they've seen better days. I love the style of the chair, and was not willing to see them go. So, I set out to update them and match them to my decor. Well, they came out so good, so I had to share the process with you!
This is what the back of the chairs looked like before i made any changes. What's great, is that no primer was needed in this process!
And here is what the front of the old chairs looked like, time for a fresh update!
No priming or prep needed, I just went for it, and applied the chalk paint. I love love this color!! I added a bit of trimming detail, and that's it! They look great! Here is the view of the back of the chair.
After picture of the front of my new chairs after being dyed with chalk paint!

They are beautiful! I bought an ugly brown Naugahyde chair at a yard sale for $1.00. Brought it home and painted with Paris Gray by Annie Sloan...what a drastic change and now a useful bedroom chair. Thanks for the inspiration!
