A friend asked me to refinish this antique smokers stand. It had a lot of peeling veneer but had a gorgeous copper interior. It always makes me nervous peeling veneer off but it had to be done. It turned out pretty well.
This was the before. I started peeling the veneer off before I remembered to take a picture but you can tell how it is just coming off.
Inside - a beautiful copper insert.
This is the side view. You can see the veneer peeling off the side as well.
A lot of it came off pretty easy like in the above picture. Some of it stuck of course and I had to steam it off and then same like the devil.
The front with all the veneer off.
All done!
Inside all cleaned and glistening! It looks great, I am so happy with the finished result!
