I have used engineering prints several times to decorate our walls on a budget, including this large wall hanging that was made using a photo I took in Tahoe and turned into a watercolor image. You can view the full post and tutorial over on my blog.
The first thing you will want to do is turn a photo you have into an engineering print. I had mine printed at Staples.
If you are using a 36 x 48 engineering print and a 36 x 48 foam board then all you have to do is attach the photo to the board using spray adhesive. I have more details on how to make a custom size over on my blog, as my photo was 42 x 34. You could also use plywood instead of foam board.
We used 2 pieces of wood leftover from a previous project to frame the top and bottom of the photo.
Get all the details over on my blog at the link below, and I now have this watercolor Tahoe print available in my shop.
Enjoyed the project?
