DIY Storage Ottoman

$54
Medium

Using some scraps of wood and plywood, the foam and batting from our old couch cushions and some new fabric I built an ottoman for our living room. In my blog post I show each step so you can build one too.

To begin I basically built a box out of plywood.

I attached some legs.

Nicely done. I'm wondering if you think it's too heavy for casters? They are so expensive but I like to be able to easily move my ottoman. I love that you used recycled materials. Hey from Lima!

I have one of these that was bought and it has coasters. If there is a worry about the weight a coaster could be put in the middle of the bottom for extra support. I think if there was a board across the bottom that helped stablize the bottom there would be little to worry about. We can sit on ours and I keep tons of magazines in it along with a couple games and a throw. So it's stable and I bet yours would be too. I think you did a great job!!!
