If I can find a way to make cleaning easier, I will use it to its full extent. There's a trick I learned from my grandfather when he would clean his tools and I've been using this same trick for cleaning the rust off our chrome light fixtures and shower rods. I'll also tell you what he used to keep the rust from coming back.

Susan S on May 27, 2014I agree that Bar Keeper's Friend and Baking Soda does a good job on some things. However, I have a problem with using aluminum foil on faucets, sinks, toilets, tile, etc. the foil combined with either of the 2 powders will scratch the finishes. The 2 powders are good for pots, pans and grills but not for any pan you bake in since scratches will cause the bakery recipes will start to stick to the pan or cookie sheet. I have a 30 year old Caphalon set of pans that look almost new and I use them nearly everyday.
