Luggage Cart for Our Guest Room

I thought our guest room needed a luggage cart and the was the perfect time for me to get this done.
This is the cart before I started. It was $3 at our local thrift store. Such a bargain.
I used white chalk paint and it took several coats to cover but it looked great. Then I used my Silhouette to create the vinyl lettering for the top. The font is Glamour Brush.
The sponsor for the was Fairfield World. They sell pillow forms, foams for upholstery projects and this Oly*Fun fabric. They provided me with two pillow forms and some of the fabric. I used the fabric in orange along with the remains of a drop cloth that I had to create a pillow to jazz up the cart between guests. I used my Silhouette to cut it out as well. The fabric was great and it doesn't fray so I was able to iron it in place and stitch without worry.
See...the pillow adds some umph because the cart is a little boring by itself.
I created a second pillow (just plain) for the bed as well. On the bedside table you can see the "Juice Bar" charging station where I used some more of the Oly*Fun fabric inside. You can find that post and all of my other guest room projects on by blog. I hope you will check them out!
