Looking for something to make with all those pinecones you've collected? Why not make a pinecone flower and jute tree? For a complete tutorial visit: http://plumperfectandme.blogspot.com/2013/07/jute-pinecone-flower-tree.html
To make you will need:
After reaching the bottom, cut off the excess twine and glue the end to the base. Next drape a piece of twine around the tree as a placement pattern for the pinecone flowers you are about to make.
To Create the Flower:
And glue the larger pinecone scales on the 3, 6, 9, & 12 positions.
Fill in the remaining areas with more scales. Use the smaller scales to add dimension to the flower.
Hot glue the completed pinecone flower at the top of the jute twine wrapped tree. Follow the draped twine on the tree as you glue the pine cone flowers in place until you reach the end.
Battery powered lights can be added for a more festive look.
