DIY TOADSTOOL TYRES

This toadstool project was submitted to the Grillo Designs website by HEATHER HICKS. Can you believe these toadstools are made from tyres? This might be one of the best recycling out door projects I have seen yet!
I am so in love with toadstools! There is just something so magical about them! When I decorated my sons Dr Suess playroom, I created a chalkboard table with toadstools to add in that whimsical element.
How HEATHER made these toadstools:

MATERIALS USED:

Vinyl table cloth

Scissors

Screw driver

Tyre

Scrap piece of circular plywood

Sofa cushion

Staple gun

Tree trunk

Spay adhesive glue
HOW TO:

- Attach the plywood to the tyre. Heather did this using the electric screw driver.

-Next she placed the tree trunk to the center of the plywood and tyre and screwed directly into the stump.
She then topped the whole thing with the cushion and used spray adhesive to keep it all in place. This is the tree trunk she used. She didn't debark it and chose to use it as it was .
She cut the fabric to the size needed to cover the entire cushion with some extra to staple in place. Next she layed the fabric upside down and placed toadstool upside down. Everything was then pulled an stapled in place!
