Curb Find Number Dresser
by

(IC: homeowner)
I was curb shopping when I found this very large and old dresser. Yes someone just threw it out! So I threw it in the truck and never locked back!! It needed some small repairs and then I decided to paint it.
I painted it a soft creamy color, sanded to give shabby look, then I glazed over the paint, and sealed it with a water based poly. Then added the numbers to give it some more interest.

The Shabby Nest on Oct 11, 2013I'm sure it was a latex satin more then likely, I just started using chalk paint here in the last few months. It was probably dutch boy or behr as that was what I used a lot then. :) I sanded it lightly then applied the dark walnut stain over it. Then polyed it. I was really into that look for awhile.

Tegma on Oct 12, 2013Thanks so much! I hadn't see that you used dark walnut stain over it! I like the look as much as the chalk paint, if not more. I really want to do a piece in that lighter color, and I'm sure I can find something similar, so I appreciate the help! Thanks for stickin' with me on it! LOL
