I love candles from a well known retailer (initials B&B) and am always left with the jars and lids after the candles are gone. I have created storage jars by putting a knob on the lid and using them fir cotton balls, QTips, etc. Now I had 3 lids ad decided to make an ornament after buying a couple of cute snowmen at my dollar store.
I started by removing the rubber gasket inside the lid. Trust me those suckers are glued in with a vengeance but i used pliers. Only one came off easy and in one piece.
I then cut felt rounds and glued them to the inside.
Here’s one in red after gluing with my glue gun.
I had 2 snowmen so I made two.
I had a cute little bird from a package which i thought would look cute. I added little pompons of different colors
I glued a pretty red ribbon around the perimeter. The options are endless.... I always save pretty Christmas cards I get ecerybyear. You could cut out the trees, santas, etc.. and create 3D effects. I’ll post one when i make this.
