Hi there! Here's a quick little project using wood letters, paint, and a stencil. I had this little wood piece, and thought it would make a cute note holder.
I sanded it lightly and wiped it with a tack cloth. I painted on two coats of primer letting them dry in between coats.
After the primer dried, I painted on two coats of burnt umber.
I used a little black paint to coat my roller, making sure to roll off the excess paint before going over the stencil. I moved the stencil around the board repeating the process until the board was covered.
I painted all the wood letters and clothespins with a gold paint wash, by mixing a little water and paint together. About one part water to two parts paint. i didn't want them to have a real painted look.
After they dried I glued them to the board, and brushed on a coat of polyurethane. I hope ya'll enjoyed this little craft. And, remember to "Just "keep swimming."
Enjoyed the project?
