Patio Remodel

Our sad and tired-looking patio was beginning to crack. We wanted to wait until next year to pour a new pad. So, I painted it!

Patio has been power washed and is ready for paint. I let it dry several days before primer and paint.

This is a photo of our patio now, taken from the pool deck. I primed, painted, added the flowers and used the cracks as vines.

I love the beautiful patio transition. Would you mind telling me about the paint you used? Also, did you use stencils or was it free-hand? I'm thinking that this would be great for my concrete patio. Thank you!

I used exterior house paint that I thinned down and put in a pump sprayer container. I sprayed a light film of paint on the concrete and brushed it in with an old broom to get a really thin layer of paint. For the petals, I cut out about 7 or 8 different petals from card stock. I rotated between the various petals and traced them with a pencil. My patio is showing some wear where the water likes to set after a rain. But for only trying to get an extra year out of our patio, it is now going on year three!!

It's beautiful. What kind of paint did you use?

LeeAnn, Thanks. Our front walkway towards the house is cracked and uneven in places. I may just paint it, too.
