Bathroom Vanity

I found this beautiful quarter-sawn oak dresser and mirror in a local antique store and knew I wanted it for my bathroom vanity.

The top was bowed and needed attention. The original plan was to purchase a piece of marble for the top.

The cost of the marble made me reconsider. Hubby convinced me to replace with oak. We bought 3 nice pieces. They were biscuit joined and glued together, then clamped and left to dry. Mr. cut holes for the sink and fixtures.

I found this sink at Home Depot. I finished the top with Waterlox product. We cut the drawers out to make way for the plumbing.

All the hardware and fixtures were purchased off the shelves at Home Depot.

We mounted the mirror directly to the wall for good veiwing height. That left about 5" of wall exposed to water, dirt and toothpaste splatters so we made a small back splash from the old oak top.

There is tons of storage and I love the addition it is to our home.

I have updated this post to include photos of the drawers, messy as they are. In this photo on the left is a diffuser in it's box. It stands about 10" tall. In the center you can see the cut out for sink and plumbing.

This is the bottom drawer. Less space was needed for the plumbing lines in this drawer so we ended up adding some back in; thus the little box in the center. On the left is a full size can of hair spray-for size reference- and my blow dryer.

Wow. At first I was a little bummed thinking all that drawer space was gone! Mr. is a pretty good guy to have around! I am on the search for something similar to your find! Best wishes!
