A Sad Art Deco Dresser Rescued by the Dresser Fairy

I rescued this dresser some time ago. These pieces don't do much for me so I kept neglecting it. Then one day inspiration struck. The Dresser Fairy was back!
The original veneer was peeling off and chunks were missing. So this baby was sanded down to the bare bones and I was happy to see the grain of the wood. I wanted to maintain the integrity of the piece as I was really beginning to love it! I stained the wood a rich walnut and used a smokey blue on the boring bits. I then detailed it with iridescent copper and here we have it!
A pop of red in all the drawers! All the original hardware was used and painted in copper to match.
And now he shines. I think he looks happy now.

I would love to try this project! I have the matching chest of drawers and vanity. Are you able to share step by step instructions?
