Classic Dresser Update

Angie from The Painted Piano used Vanilla Frosting and Natural Wax to restore the beauty of this dresser!
This old dresser was pretty cute as is, but needed a breath of fresh air, otherwise known as a coat of fresh paint!
There were so many cute, simple details lost in the dark wood. But a couple coats of Vanilla Frosting helped to make them noticeable. I love the warm, soft white of Vanilla Frosting!
Before the first coat was even dry, I noticed several areas where the old stain wanted to seep through. Not a problem! If this happens, a quick coat of Shellac does the trick, followed by two coats of paint.
I distressed the edges and details for an authentic, worn look. I love how the details are brought right to the surface! Too cute to be missed!
Finally, I used Natural Wax to seal the dresser and replaced all of the original hardware. Clean and bright!
