Achieving an authentic chippy look using Olde Barn Milk Paint is simple safe and easy! Milk Paint is naturally safe, and durable.
The dresser was first painted in Stoneware. Using Bonding Creme to improve adhesion.
We initially decided this was it for the dresser and sealed it with OBMP Clear Beeswax Polish.
Next we mixed up one of our newest colors, Wedgewood and painted over the entire piece. We applied to coats of OBMP, after our final coat we removed the chipping paint with a scraper and lightly sanded. I added a bit more distressing as I'm know for and voila! This gorgeous chippy dresser appeared. I love the layered chippy look and using Beeswax as a resist is so fun!
