Here's a fun and easy way to repurpose those charger plates left over from events. Like a son's wedding. I have plenty.
Start with taping off a design of your choice.
I used metallic spray paint. It went well with the already metallic silver surface of the chargers.
A quick spray and remove the tape.
Next I used the PIY Chalky Type Furniture Paint that can be used as chalkboard paint. I simply don't use a sealer like I normally would with furniture.
Add your favorite stencil. I created this one with my Silhouette Cameo.
Using a liquid chalk marker I traced around the outline of the stencil (with a pencil) and colored it in with the chalk marker.
A repurposed soda tab works well as a hanger secured with E6000 crafters glue on the back oh the charger plate. DIY Chalkboard Chargers
That's it. Talk about a budget friendly project! PIY Furniture Paint can be used as a chalkboard paint as well. Available in lots of colors for your DIY project.
Here's my finished project. I love how unique it is. Quick, simple and inexpensive. My kinda project.
