I wanted some giant carrots to lay in the yard at Easter so I made some.

I can’t wait to decorate with them in a few weeks for Easter.

Best extra wide aluminum foil!

Make your own Easter carrots with this extra wide aluminum foil that Amazon reviewers swear by!

I bought this at Home Depot to help make them. First, I shaped it in to a cone shape and fastened with pop rivets. I got hubby to do that part for me.

Here is a close up shot of those pop rivets.

We glued foam board on top and I glued a foam plate to the top

For the top layer I mixed up homemade texture and paint because I thought it would stay longer

Brushed it on the top and randomly all over.

Tip: Before I painted them I cleaned them with vinegar first.

Then I pained them again all over and glued in artificial bushes and roots at the very bottom to make it look like the carrots were just plucked.

It’s still too early to put them outside since Easter isn't until April, but when I decorate with them for Easter I’ll post a picture on here of them in my yard.

Finally got them out!

Did you make the eggs also?

Pop rivets not an option for me. Wondering if duct tape would work? Unclear need for baking soda. Just to add texture/dimension? Thanks for sharing

ABSOLUTELY ADORABLE!!!!! The cutest thing I have ever seen, maybe because I raise rabbits?
