This project began when my amazing hubby bought me an adorable set of dishes with TURKEYS on them! They are perfect for my Thanksgiving decor, and also they are made in England! Right from my home country.. ok I wasn't born there, but my mom was.
We are a very outdoorsy family and love to watch all those homesteading tv shows! I am serious, if it wasn't for me and the kids, my husband would live in the back country and live off the land!!
This is my cluttered disaster of a China cupboard. My grandmother gave it to me for my birthday a few years ago. But it has literally become a dumping ground. How did this happen?
This was my Saturday afternoon project. I had boxes and boxes of China and dishes all over my house. Today I am boxing them up into one box and reorganizing my poor China cabinet. It's kind of amazing and a little scary how much stuff you accumulate over 20 years of marriage!! lol this is just the beginning!
I don't know how I got this all into one Rubbermaid container but careful wrapping and stuffing got it done! My strong hubby can carry this downstairs into the garage, because it is heavy!

Whooo hooo! I dusted and wiped and replaced my disaster zone with a very lovely "homesteading" vibe! I could go on and on with stories about all the history and memories this cabinet holds for our family. I love this so much and can't wait to share it with friends and family!!

I love your holiday dishes! So nice and pretty!

  • You did a great job! Looks so pretty and inviting. My itsy bitsy house does not have a dining room and the china hutch that my dad made me for my birthday 37 years ago lives in the loft and holds some of my books. Love the dishes, I always wanted a set of Thanksgiving and Christmas dishes. Glad you have them and enjoy them in good health for many years to come! Still very much summer here, looking forward to cooler weather. Thanks for sharing! 🤗
