1.Gold-Dipped Log Candleholders By Lifeovereasy

Supplies:


  • Wooden logs, cut to lengths from 3.5 to 10 inches long
  • Wood boring drill
  • Safety glasses
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Masking tape
  • Woden primer
  • Newspaper
  • Votive candles


Here you can see the process of cutting some birch logs.

Once the logs are cut and drilled, you can get to the fun part – painting!

2.Cinnamon Candle

Supplies


  • Cinnamon sticks
  • Unscented candle
  • Rubber Band

3.Holiday Tree Lights

Supplies


  • 8″ cone template ( left + right), 6″ cone template, 4″ cone template
  • 4 pieces of heavyweight cardstock
  • parchment paper
  • 2 – 12″ lengths of 1/8″ dowel
  • small blade
  • aspic cutter in star shape
  • rolling pin
  • air dry porcelain or modeling clay
  • 4 LED tea lights
  • wet rag or paper towel or tiny sponge
  • glue or tape

4.Pink Candles

Supplies : Candle Holders


  • Glass yogurt pots
  • Gold paint or PVA glue
  • Foam Paint brush
  • Glitter baby
  • Optional: Masking tape

Supplies : Pink Candles


  • Melt and pour candle wax
  • Candle wicks with metal base
  • Wax coloring + fragrance of your choice and small pipette
  • Wooden spoon and large heat-proof pot
  • BBQ skewers
  • Sticky tape

5.Color Block Candles

Supplies


  • Dixie Cups
  • Wax (available on Amazon)
  • Crayons
  • Wicks (available on Amazon)
  • Votives
  • Popsicle sticks (for stirring)

    Thank you for posting these ideas for candles. In the painted wooden candles could you please say which brand of spray paint you used? I went to the blog and it didn't mention it. It is a lovely shiny gold color for metallic spray paint. Thank you for taking the time to answer.

    Never made candles before; these are so pretty and I want to try them. If I wanted to add a cinnamon or citrus fragrance does anyone know how I go about it

      You can buy them on Amazon but I would try your local arts and craft store first so you can smell it before you buy. You only need a few drops in the wax or it will over power when you burn the candles and stink up the house if you leave them burning for a long time. Cinnamon is my favorite but Bayberry comes in second with citrus in third place. Lavender is calming. There are many scents available to choose from.
