DIY Beaded Candle Holder

Have you noticed that candles are not quite as popular during the warmer seasons as they are in the cooler ones?
I love candles - all year long - and decided it was time to add some candle charm to my spring and summer decor collections, all while celebrating one of my favorite places to visit...the beach!
To get started, I headed to Hobby Lobby and found a cute little hinged-lid storage jar and a package of seed beads in bright coastal colors.
I had a roll of jewelry wire on hand, so was set to go. Just three simple supplies!
Here's how to put together a cute little coastal candle in just a few minutes:
Start by removing all of the hinge hardware and gasket from the jar. Now you'll have a nice little groove both on the jar and the lid.
Next, string the seed beads along the jewelry wire until you have a length to fit the diameter of the jar and lid. These small beads fit perfectly into the grooved area.
Wrap the bead strings around the jar and lid, then twist the ends and cut off any extra wire.
Pour a little sand into the bottom of the jar and add a votive candle in a color that coordinates with the beads.
The beaded lid makes a nice base for the projects and adds a fun extra punch of color.
You're done!

I really like this idea. My neighbor gave me an old, blue, ceramic set and I took them apart also. I put some of my plants in them. I also used the tops for some small plants that I wick water.
