OMG...this is such an easy and cute DIY for Mother's Day!

Mom will love having coasters with her kids faces on them.

This is a great gift for Grandma too!

This DIY Project is even easier if you follow along with the video, below.

All you will need for this project are small tiles, a printed photo from your computer, ModPodge, scissors, and a foam brush.

STEP 1: Print out photos to about 1/4" smaller than the size of your tiles. (So, for a 4 1/4" tile you would print out a photo size of 4")

(IMPORTANT: Print on regular computer paper.)

STEP 2: Cut out each photo.

...as an added touch I rounded the corners. This is optional, of course.

STEP 3: Brush on a layer of ModPodge to the smooth side of the tile.

STEP 4: Position the photo onto the center of tile.

STEP 5: Gently brush the photo with ModPodge all the way to the edge of the tile.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT RUB the foam brush over the photo or it will bleed. It's important to have a light touch when applying the ModPodge.

Let the ModPodge dry and add another coat if needed.

These look so darn cute!!!

STEP 6: When the tiles are totally dry spray a coat of Gloss as an added protection.

STEP 7: Now hot glue some felt corners to the bottom of your photo coasters.

...Be sure your tiles are totally dry before adding the felt corners.

TIP: Since the bottom won't be seen you can really add any scrap material you may have around your house.

Now just add a special note to your Mama.....

Wrap with a cute ribbon.

...And you've got yourself an awesome Mother's Day Gift!

Here's a video tutorial if that's easier for you to learn.

Is Modge Podge waterproof? Might want to put clear contact paper over the picture.

Can you use the original photo, or does it have to be a copy? Can you cover the entire coaster with the picture?

I tried this but mine remained tacky. What did I do wrong? Should I seal it anyway?
