Easy Embroidery Hoop Decor Using a Paper Doilie and Stamp

I love embroidery hoops! They are so great for easy decor projects. I am going to share how I used an embroidery hoop, a paper doilie, and rubber stamp to create a pretty little decor hanging.

I used these 4" paper doilies for this project. They can be found on Amazon. I found mine at a thrift store.

I was lucky, and had this small embroidery hoop on hand. I found it at the thrift store; and it was the perfect size for the doilie.

I was going for a vintage feel, and this rubber stamp was a great way to achieve that. I found this stamp at a thrift store as well.

I simply placed the stamp in the center of the doilie. You can use any stamp of your choice. The possibilities are endless.

I wanted the doilie to look a bit more vintage; which I accomplished with coffee.

I had some coffee leftover from my morning brew, soaked some on a paper towel, and carefully dabbed the doilie with it. This can be done before stamping the doilie; but I didn't think of it until after.

You can see the difference using the coffee.

Make sure the soilie is dry before placing into the hoop.

I added the doilie to the hoop by placing the screw hoop on top of the doilie. This helped me make sure it was centered.

I then held the doilie in place, and flipped the hoop and doilie over. I then inserted the second hoop from behind.

Before bringing both hoops together, make sure to loosen the screw first. This will ensure the hoops come together easily.

This is how the back of the doilie hoop looked once put together. You can see where I have inserted the second hoop.

I used this twine, I found at a thrift store, to hang the hoop.

Simply string the twine under the screw.

This is how your hoop decor should look once done.

You can always use fabric instead of paper doilies if you like. You can also make various sizes, based on the materials you have.
