Mini Fairy Garden Gifts in Tins

I think fairy gardens are the cutest things! They're so fun to make, and I recently made some mini fairy gardens in a vinage tin and a vintage planter for gifts. These are sweet and fun and a great activity to do with kids!
First I filled up my tins with soil (add gravel at the bottom for drainage), planted a small plant, and then covered the soil with moss I found in our forest.
Next, my kids and I made little ornaments for the gardens out of fabric scraps, string and sticks like this sweet bunting banner and a garden swing.
We also found a small birdhouse that we stained and glued moss onto.
We placed the ornaments in the containers along with some decorative rocks, and our gardens were complete.
These make such a pretty and unique gift! Check out my blog post for more details and a video tutorial on how to make these fairy garden gifts.
