Decorate Your Door! (Master Bedroom Door Makeover)

There are a zillion other things I should be working on, but in true procrastination style, I decided to decorate my Master Bedroom Door at the top of the stairs. It actually got an entire makeover! Come see for youself what a little TLC ad creativity can do.
Here is the picture after the makeover was complete. Cleaning, painting, scraping sticky insulation, taking out and filling the deadbolt hole, cleaning the hardware and adding the vinyl decals were all part of the process.
This is the before picture. A little less than a year ago, this house was a duplex and the upstairs was a separate living area. At the start of the door makeover, there was still food and lots of dirt from the previous tenant on the door. There was also a gold deadbolt that I figured we could do without.
I decided to decorate the door with vinyl decals. This one was cut on my Silhouette, but the other arrows I cut with my cutting mat and a rotary cutter. The arrow heads and hearts were easy to cut by hand.
The original hardware still looks great. It's beautifully ornate and most all of the doors still have their matching hardware in the house. When I scrubbed the downstairs hardware, it was dated 1890 something. To get the old paint off, I let it soak in hot water. The paint scrubbed off easily after it's soak.
Here's a picture of how the stairway is coming along. Just a little more trim painting and it will be complete!

Your door is so sweet I <3 it. Any ideas for folding doors? I have two.

@Angelina Thanks! I've seen people turn bi-folds into double doors. You can find a zillion tutorials on Pinterest. I've also seen them add fabric curtains to each one, just paint them and add new hardware. If they're flat you can add molding or inset wallpaper in the middle of each. ....just a few ideas. ;)

Such a sweet touch. I'm now assessing all my interior doors for a cute arrow upgrade :)

@Libby Walker Thank you! I know....if it wouldn't be total overkill, I'd probably decorate all my old doors! lol
