$3 Yard Sale Cabinet Makeover

I found this little cabinet at a yard sale for $3.
These are pretty common at yard sales but I usually just pass them by but this time I decided I would make it over.
The dark wood wasn’t doing anything for me, so I painted it with Plaster Paint in Sweet Cream for the outside, and for the inside a combination of Cottage Blue and Grey Silk. I used Plaster Paint because it adheres to anything, which means you don't have to sand down your project before you paint it. I hate sanding so this works perfectly for me.
I distressed the whole piece with a fine grit sanding block, and then I coated it in Plaster Paints Clear Paste Wax.

I then buffed it off with a clean cloth and it was good as new! It was the perfect place to house my vintage dog collection!
