I tore the toilet paper into small pieces.

I started adding the food color, but found it was too dark. So I added the food color to water and it lightened the color dramatically.

I tore larger pieces because I thought it was a good opportunity to do some blending.

I used a paper towel to soak up any excess. Then, I put it all aside to dry.

Here it is all dry.

I added resin to the coaster mold.

I popped the bubbles with my lighter.

I pressed the colored toilet paper pieces into the resin.

I repeated with the larger pieces.

I added more resin, to make sure everything was nice and level.

I popped the bubbles with my lighter and let it cure a minimum of 12 hours.

After it has cured, I removed it from the mold.

Here are the beautiful coasters.

The resin definitely darkened the colors a bit.

They have a water color feel to them!

I love these! I think I will try making them largely r, put a hanger in them and put them on the edges of the porches! Sunday here but hang with a longish chain. Why wonder what else you could put in there to reflect light and see throigg! I see a trip to Michaels in my near future! Hmmm. Wonder if you could do it so it looks like pressed flowers? Using real flowers, part of a centerpiece? Ideas!
