Jars With Fall Leaves

Fall and mason jars go so well together. They have a bit of a rustic feel and can be made into so many different things.

For this project I grabbed two glass jars I had saved and used faux leaves to turn them into beautiful pieces of fall decor.

Here are the supplies I used

  • 2 jars, a sauce jar and a yogurt jar
  • Mod Podge
  • Paint brush
  • Paper leaves, or tissue paper leaves
  • Popcorn seeds
  • Flameless tea lights

Mod Podge is the key to this project.

Start by applying a thin coat of Mod Podge with a paint brush to the outside of a glass jar. Then add a thin coat to the back of a leaf. Press the leaf onto the jar and rub out any bubbles.

Repeat this process for the rest of the leaves until the jar is covered to your liking.

Then let the jar dry to the touch.

Once it's dry, add another coat of mod podge over the outside of the jar to seal the leaves.

I prefer gloss mod podge because it leaves a shiny finish.

Mod Podge will always dry clear leaving your leaf art to show through.

Fill the jars with popcorn seeds and LED tea lights to decorate your home for fall.
