Simple Bathroom Beadboard
I was on a mission to train my kids to hang up their bathroom towels so I decided to create a bead board chair rail to designate a spot to do do!
I picked up a bead board panel from my local hardware store and cut it to size with a jigsaw.
Using my nail gun I secured it to the wall by shooting nails in at alternate angles to create an anchor. I never recommend glue for wall treatments because it can ruin your drywall.
I used a 1x4 primed pine board as the top rail of my bead board. Doing this before the rest of the paneling gave me a stopping point for measuring the rest.
This cordless nail gun is the BEST. Easy, safe, and no air compressor!
I pieced together the rest of my bead board underneath.
I added a piece of trim under my board for some added detail and to hide my rough seam.
Next, lots of wood filler for my seams and nail holes
Caulk for corners and edges! Next I’ll sand this all down flat.
I painted it the color “Sea Salt” by Sherwin Williams and added some cute hooks to complete the look!

What happened to the light switch that is in all the pictures, except for the final one? Looks Amazing, BTW! Great Job! Thanks for sharing! Just curious about the light switch.
I don’t understand what you mean by nailing at alternate angles. Can you post a video of nailing at alternate angles? I just want to fully understand what you’re doing because I love what you did with the bead-board!!
I love the flower print -- where did it come from?
