I started this project with two dresser drawers that I had leftover from a previous dresser remodel!
Using this paint remover, I sprayed it on the front of the drawers, let it sit for approximately 20 minutes and then scraped the paint away.
After removing the paint, I sanded the front of the drawers to remove any excess paint and to smooth out the surface to get it ready for the stain!
I measured the inside of the drawers and bought wood pieces that would fit inside the drawers. You can mix and match and do any type of shelving on the inside!
I stained and used this Poly on both the front of the drawers as well as the wood pieces that would act as shelves inside the drawers.
I used this chalk paint and painted the inside and outside of the drawers.
I put the shelving together with nails and secured it inside the drawers with nails as well.
I then just added some hardware on the sides to add more character and that was it!

Frequently asked questions
Have a question about this project?
I may have missed it in the video and/or the article, but I didn't see how you hung them on the wall? Are they screwed into a stud or did you use some type of hanger on the back? I am asking because I have been hanging on to some drawers just for this purpose. Thank you!!
the front of my drawers are wider and longer. How can I hang it flush to the wall?
