If you’ve walked into a craft store recently and been disappointed that Christmas decor is already out, I’m about to give you a reason to be excited for it. Grab a bunch of glass ornaments and create crystal ball DIY decor for Halloween! This project doesn’t take long to make and it looks really cool!
Supplies Used to make Crystal Ball DIY Decor:
- Xyron Double Sided Laminate Refill Cartridge for Creative Station and Creative Station Lite, 5 inches by 18 feet
- Xyron 624740 Creative Station Lite (5 Inch with 3 Inch Option)
- Martha Stewart Opaque Glass Paint: Milk White, 2 oz
- Martha Stewart Opaque Milk Glass Paint: Jadeite, 2 Oz
- Paint Dauber
- Clear Glass Ornaments
- Black Cardstock
- Silhouette Cutting Machine or Halloween Die Cuts
Candleholders
Cut Halloween images out from black cardstock. I used my Silhouette cutting machine to cut a skull, flying witch, and black cat. My images are approximately 2.5 inches long to fit the 3 inch ornaments I used. You will need to adjust the size of the images to fit the size of the ornament you use.

The glass paint makes the crystal balls look hazy. The laminate is so transparent that it makes it look like the image is magically floating inside the crystal ball DIY. This Halloween decor looks really cool, don’t you think? Have fun crafting and creating!
