Cut 2 - 1''x6''x11'' boards.

White Pine 6" Wide Planks

You should now have 2 - 6" x 11" boards cut.

Sand off all the rough edges with a 90 grit sandpaper. Now you are ready to stain your base wood the stain color of your choice. Our favorite is a water based stain made by Olympic called "espresso". Apply the stain to all surfaces with a good quality brush using straight strokes in the same direction of the wood grain. Wipe wet stain off immediately with a dry cotton rag or old T shirt.

Allow to dry 1-3 hours depending on humidity and your room temperature. Now you are ready to affix your hardware to both stained boards.

Mount the saw tooth picture hanger first. Mount the saw tooth hanger on the back of each board about 1/2 " down and centered.

Mount the wrought iron hook centered 3-5/8 inches down as shown in photo.

Be sure to use 1" black wood screws and mount the wrought iron hooks on both boards.

Cut (4) - 24" Lengths of jute twine as you will need 2 for each Mason Jar.

Lay one piece of twine horizontal across a board. Thread the second piece of twine thru the wrought iron hook and on top of the first piece of twine. This creates an A shape with two equal lengths.

Place your first mason jar on top of the twine and wrap the bottom piece of twine around the mouth of the jar. Tie your first bow. Then tie a simple knot on each side with the second string on each side of the jar. Repeat these steps for the second jar.

Adding the fairy tale lights is so magical! Unwrap your copper LED fairy tale lights and neatly push them into the jars. Tape the on/off switch to the inside of each Mason jar lid to hide it from view. Repeat for the second jar.

You are now ready to hang your Mason Jar Lanterns! To BUY these gorgeous luminary mason jars, click here!

Hang your Mason Jars, wait for sunset and the lights will create fairy tale magic !

I love those, you will never know how much. I think they are great.

I'm going to try them. I plan on using solar lights which do not need solar lids.

I agree with the comments on the hooks. Says 2 -3" hooks. Shows a great deal more.
