Do you ever buy items at a thrift store with the idea that one day you hope you will know what to make with it?
That is exactly what happened with this tin plate. I bought this several months ago and finally figured out what to do with it. Not only am I am so happy I was able to upcycle it, but I had everything in my supply stash and was able to do this project for about $1.50.

This is a very easy project that requires no fancy tools and it is a great way to add some fall/Thanksgiving decor to your house on the cheap. Plus if you love the farmhouse/fixer upper look chalkboard surfaces fit right in.
Next create a graphic, print it and then transfer it to the chalkboard painted plate.
Next I outlined the graphic with a white chalk marker.
Finally I filled in the graphic with white acrylic paint and added the leaves to the top and bottom.
Then I found a perfect place for it on a shelf.
Here is another upcycle from a Christmas popcorn tin. Christmas Tin to Trash Bin Upcycle
