How To Make A DIY Command Station Magnet Board
Transform an unused metal board into a new and updated command station magnet board. See how I transformed this board from shabby to cute.
This photo is the before of this board. This is what it looked like. It had various stains and permanent marker on it. Ugly, right?
To clean the permanent marker off the metal board, I used Goof Off. The board never worked as a marker board. It would always mark up and stain the surface so I felt comfortable using this on the metal. I then washed it thorough.
I thought I wanted to dress things up a bit and divide the board into sections. So, I bought a magnet strip and decorated it with a rhinestone ribbon. Visit the blog for details.
In the calendar section, I then used a command hook and placed my calendar in this area.
I then added a shopping list pad with a magnet back and a to do list with a magnet back to that section of the board. I also added a section that would hold a stickie note pad and a place to hold mail and bills. The envelope and bill holder has been discounted.

Love it! What did you use for the bill holder? I don’t see it in the list of materials. Is it one of those mop handler holders?

Unfortunately, I bought it on clearance some years ago at Target. It's from 3M and had a magnet back. Here's a link for a variety of them that are useful to hold bills on Amazon (affiliate).
