Pedestal Table Do-Over

Awhile back I decided to give this simple Pedestal Table some detail with nailhead trim. Though I loved how that turned out, I knew it needed something else. So this time I gave it another transformation with paint.
The table was originally black, and the nailheads weren't really showing up against the black finish.
I used Annie Sloan chalk paint in paris gray and applied 3 coats. Once the paint was fully dry, I added a clear wax that acts as a sealer. It also gives the piece a little bit of shine. You can see in this next photo, the right half has been waxed and left hadn't yet.
The gray not only allows the nailheads to really stand out now, it also goes better with my family room color scheme over all.
