A Little Gold Leaf Makeover on an Old Table

To be honest I don't even remember where or how I came across this cute little table. It is all wood, with super slim legs and great subtle curves and details. But like most old furniture it isn't in the best shape. It's going to be painted, so if you hate paint - don't look icon

The table is sanded and cleaned as any other project is. Any minor repairs are made as well to make the table as sturdy as possible.

I always prefer to scoop my paint onto a paper plate rather than work straght from the container.

The table is then painted in a clean and crisp white paint. But all white was just a bit too plain for me. You can find great whites and color options for paint online HERE.

The details and trim are given a glamorous pop with gold leaf.

Simple and pretty because sometimes a makeover just needs a little gold leaf. For more detailed tutorials using gold leaf you can find them on my blog here: How to Update a Mirror with Liquid Gold Leaf
