Create a Storage Space for a Small Bedroom (or Bathroom)

I was in need of more clothing storage, and a space to hang towels. I had a very small space available, so I did what I could. I love how this turned out, and I have so much more storage.

I needed more storage for my clothes, and our bedroom is fairly small. I saw that IKEA is selling a less expensive version of their shoe storage units, and I just had to get a couple. They'd only $25 a piece and hold almost anything.

They say that they are for shoes, but I used them for everything but. Shirts, sweaters, bras, and leggings. I freed up so much space in my dresser.

Next, I decided to add hooks on the wall above the shoe units. They can be used for anything. Clothes, jewelry, scarves. I'm using mine for towels, to free up space in my tiny bathroom.

Super simple. This could work great in a bathroom too, of course

I decided to add a sign above the hooks, because I had some blank wall space. It was on clearance at Michaels, and I painted it for a farmhouse feel.

Then, I added a few baskets. I plan on using these for scarves and hair accessories. I love how much storage fit into this tiny space!

Suggested materials:
  • IKEA shoe storage   (IKEA)
  • Hooks   (Home Depot)
