I remember these light up boxes from when I was a kid. We'd make them as presents! I wanted to make an updated version for my Christmas display. They look so great, so take a look to see how I made them.

Hrre's what you'll need!

First, use some glass cleaner to make sure the block is totally clean. Then I used a vinyl that said Merry Christmas. It's 5x2.5 I just peeled the back off and apllied it to the block- easy peasy.

The next step was to put the lights inside the block. Use battery run lights so yu can move your blocks around.

This is the hole on the side that you can fedd the lights through.

Next wrap a ribbon around the block. This works to cover the hole as well. I also glued a bow a the top.

You can also add a Christmas pick or any other embellishments you;d like to finish it off.

That's it! What do you think?

These are SO easy to make and are inexpensive. Give it a try!

This is another variation that I made.

These each cost around $15! See more of my projects at Gilbert Marketplace
