Wood Slice Countdowns

These little countdowns can be used for any occasion not just Christmas! Countdown the days till school is out or until a special vacation. They make great gifts too! NOTE: This is an updated version of an older post I've done on HomeTalk. Ü
SUPPLIES


Wood slice discs. About 1/2 thick cut from tree branch. (approx 3 to 4 in diameter)


Chalk paint


Raffia


Hot glue gun


Silk flowers etc.
Wood slices are simple to make if you have access to a saw but you can also buy them.
Paint two or three layers of chalkboard paint onto the slice, allowing to dry well in between each coat.
Glue together.
Add any extras you want! This is what I used for a Christmas themed countdown.
Give as a gift set with some chalk. There are a variety of different fun styles shown on my web site below.
