This 1970's Mediterranean Credenza had some serious sexiness that was hidden under its original pecan-ish color...I wanted something I could transform for my foyer and this little gem caught my eye...challenge accepted!
I started by adding heavy duty castors underneath this sexy beast because it took 3 grown men to carry it into my home...it is a seriously heavy piece and I wanted a little ground clearance with ease of moving this piece...I also had to unstick a door that was a little warped.
I did nothing but dust the original hardware which is bold and gorgeous but blended into the original color...so I removed it and made my own chalk paint to give this piece a facelft...and holy cow!!!
I added the hardware back on the doors which I chalk painted in three custom colors and then I lightly distressed and clear waxed to give it a well-loved uniqueness...
I added some snazzy red to the inside drawers because why not!?
I couldn't decide how to do the top since there was some damage and a thin veneer...eventully I painted it the same beige body color and of course I clear waxed it...
Another closeup of those doors...
Some of the top...
