If it is a builder mirror you can always build a frame around it out of wood and then either leave the wood natural or paint it.
If you mean a builder-grade mirror, I've seen them framed with wood or tiles. Here's a link on adding a frame:

Perhaps post a pic of your mirror so we can give you some ideas
Peel and stick tiles work well, available at Home Depot and Lowes, and of course Amazon.
Hi,
Add a wallpaper Border around it. or Tiles or Timber Frame etc.
Do you have a picture of it? Changing the frame with a different color or add on some peel and stick molding on it would change it up: https://amzn.to/3r8Q9tH
Build a mirror frame, with molding and corner pieces so all you have is straight cuts. Both Lowes and Home Depot sells this kind of molding. Paint the molding with Rustoleum spary paint as it is oil based. Paint half of the inside where you will use adhesive such as loctite pro, because the back of the molding will be seen on the mirror. If you use Rustoleum Spray paint you will have no brush marks, and will not need a top coat. I have done this on both my bathroom mirrors

Take a walk thru your local home improvement store and find some wood trim that you like. Get 4 corner rosettes to match it. Take your measurements with you. Have them cut the wood for you. Take it all home. Stain or paint it. Glue everything on the mirror.
I would suggest a frame if its a plain beveled mirror . Those kits look very appealing
Stencil the sides, frame the mirror, ceramic tiles and some ideas you can look into.
Here is a DIY frame you could do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DK2DinMfL64
If it's a builder grade frameless glass frame it!
Hi there! A fun and simple way to update the mirror is trimming it out but you could also consider adding fun vinyl decals!
There are all kinds of bathroom mirror trim kits you can get. https://amzn.to/3aB8VDY
Hi! Sometimes a simple border makes a huge difference. If it already has a frame, maybe you could paint it. There are some beautiful trims that can give a whole new look to a mirror for a small price. Measure the entire area you want to cover, how wide you can come out from the edge of the mirror since some are close to the sink and/or ceiling. Good luck and stay safe!
