I went digging through my 4th of July decorations and no wreath. I decided to make one and sharing to how to make a patriotic wreath.

A wreath is not hard to make at all. Believe me when I tell you that it can be easy!

SUPPLIES:

  • 24″ Grapevine Wreath
  • 1 bunch of white flowers of choice
  • 1 bunch of red flowers of choice
  • 4 Yards of Wire Ribbon of Choice
  • Floral Wire
  • Scissors
  • Small Cutting Pliers
  • Hot Glue Gun and Glue Sticks

With a pair of wire cutters, you are going to cut the flower stems. You need to make sure you leave enough of the stem to add hot glue and tuck into the wreath. You will also cut the leaves or pull them of the stems. We will be using some of the leaves too.

Next, I will lay the flowers around the grapevine wreath to get an idea of where to place the flowers and leaves. If satisfied with the design, I will move the flowers on the side of the table in order.

My Ryobi Hot Glue Gun is ready to go! I begin to glue down the leaves and add the flowers.

I continue to glue the flowers down.

With this wreath, I love the texture of the grapevine and want to leave some of it bare. Therefore, the flowers will not go all the way around the wreath.

I completely forgot to take photos or a video of me making the bow. Can you forgive me?

I promise to do a tutorial on making bows at later date.

This bow is being placed to one side of the wreath. After adhering the bow with floral wire, it helped me to see how many more flowers to add.

To the back of the grapevine, I tied a piece of twine for hanging the wreath.

Here is my patriotic wreath in red, white and blue. It’s perfect for Memorial Day, Fourth of July and Veteran’s Day.

It took me 20 minutes to complete this project. If I can make a beautiful wreath, you can too!

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit with me today. Make it a great day, sweet friend!
