Faux Mantel From an Old China Hutch

I really wanted a mantel of some sort to decorate for the seasons.... but a real fireplace was not in the budget at this point. So I found an old china hutch (the top piece from a china cabinet) and we fixed it up and repurposed it into a Faux Mantel of sorts!
The before and after....always my favourite part!
Before - Here is the original piece- I picked it up at the local Sally Ann.
We replaced the glass in the doors with some wainscoting panel board that we already had on hand.

Susan Rawlings on Jan 09, 2016This is brilliant. It's amazing how creative one can get. Makes me want to run right out and thrift--now! :-)
